'04 Student Forum narrative: "Kiss of Zeal and Knowledge" - Read

The International Student Leaders Coalition for Frontier Missions will be joining with the ISFM to examine doing ‘Church’ where there is no church, and what it means to become a ‘Christian’ in a post-Christian World. Cutting-edge missiologists will address crucial topics such as:

  1. The Kingdom of God and the Gospel: Churchless Christianity Reaching the Nations
  2. 5 Keys to kingdom Advance: Jesus, the Church Planter
  3. The True Nature of the Church: Form or Function?
  4. Jesus Movements in Islam
  5. The Supremacy of Christ: Even in the Qur'an?
  6. An ongoing coalition of student leaders for frontier missions

Student leaders are welcome to participate in these seminars! In the evenings, students will have the opportunity to dialogue and interact in a small forum-setting with these key leaders in frontier mission:

Dr. Ralph Winter — Ralph is one of the world's most innovative mission thinkers. He is the founder of the U.S. Center for World Mission in Pasadena, California and General Director of the Frontier Mission Fellowship. Please read more from Time magazine’s 25 Most Influential Evangelicals in America.

John Ridgway — John is a native of Australia. He has a PhD in Physics (1970), studying Semiconductor Surfaces. He has worked with the Navigators since 1971. In ’73-’74, he was responsible for the Nav work at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado. Subsequently, John spent nearly 20 years in India, teaching at the India Institute of Science, doing industrial consulting for multinational engineering/tech companies, and opening up India for a multinational team of people associated with the Navigators. Currently, John is the Asia Frontiers Director for the Navs and as such visits many Asian countries.

Carl Medearis — Carl has established and led several ministries around the Arab world over the last 13 years, while living with his family in Beirut, Lebanon. The focus has been the training and sending of Muslim university students, big businessmen, professionals and political leaders who have dedicated their lives to Jesus Christ to reach their nations. Carl spends much of his time traveling throughout the Middle East encouraging these friends with the goal of seeing a total transformation of the Arab Muslim Middle East through the discipling of nations. Carl will be speaking on Tuesday evening.

Kim Gustafson — Kim has been with the Navigators for over 2 decades, in the Middle East and elsewhere, building bridges of understanding with Muslims.
